Edenbrook will commence an Enrichment program for very able students.
This exceptional program aims to develop lifelong learners who are passionate, curious, adaptable, creative and collaborative and who embrace challenges and opportunities for autonomy. It is not an acceleration program, it is a different way of teaching and learning that enables students to expand their minds in creative and innovative ways.
Students will be taught

- Multiple ways of solving problems
- Multiple ways of making decisions
- Reflective thinking skills
- Collaborative practices
- How to manage information in a society that is overloaded with information (critical thinking skills)
- Creative thinking strategies
This program focuses on guiding students development of higher order thinking skills that support them in interacting deeply and meaningfully with the information they encounter. .
Students will have the opportunity to access an early VCE pathway.
Year 10
Year 10 students may undertake Units 1 and 2 VCE subject/s. This will depend upon meeting the academic requirements and subject availability.
Year 11
Year 11 students may undertake Units 3 and 4 VCE subject/s. This will depend upon meeting the academic requirements and subject availability.
All students enrolled for Year 7 at Edenbrook Secondary College will undertake an academic testing program. This is held at Edenbrook Secondary College during their Grade 6 year.
Students who are shown to be in the upper range for educational performance and potential will be invited to submit an application and attend an interview with the Principal and/or Senior Staff.
Places in the program will be offered from these interviews.
