WELLBEING AT EDENBROOK SECONDARY COLLEGE
Commitment
The Wellbeing Team at ESC are committed to providing wholistic support to facilitate successful student engagement and learning outcomes. Wellbeing at ESC is a voluntary service.
The wellbeing team provide support through
- Supporting families to refer/engage to external services and community supports
- Providing short-term, solution-focused counselling around school-based issues
- Targeted small group programs
- Whole-school wellbeing approaches
- Professional Development for school staff
These services complement other whole-school structures such as the mentor program and school wide positive behaviours.
Confidentiality & Informed Consent
Engagement with wellbeing is a voluntary service. Information provided to the Student Wellbeing Team is confidential and staff will always try to seek consent and include you in decisions about your health and safety where they can.
Wellbeing staff will only share your confidential information without consent when:
- They are required to do so by law or to fulfil duty of care
- They are concerned about a young person’s immediate safety or the safety of others. If necessary, information may be shared with principals, wellbeing staff, house leaders, parents or external services.
